Measurements

Females significantly larger (culmen and wing length) and heavier than males (Table 1); probably have heavier wing-loading. Both sexes larger in Galápagos than in Caribbean and Baja California, Mexico (Table 1). Individuals in Galápagos Is. and Barbuda (Caribbean) tend to be larger than those in Baja California (Mexico), Cayman Is., and British Virgin Is. (Table 1).
